Are you really hungry or just bored?
I mix the two up far more than I should.
This can lead to consumption of more calories than you need, which leads to weight gain.
Here are a few ways you can figure out if you’re truly hungry or just bored.
1) When was your last meal/snack?
-If it has been a few hours you might need to eat.
-If it has been less than 2-3 hours you might just be bored
2) Drink a glass of water, then wait 30 minutes.
-If you’re still hungry you might need to eat.
-If you’re not, then your body just needed water. People often confuse thirst and hunger.
3) Would you be willing to eat plain vegetables or fruit?
-If yes, then you’re truly hungry
-If no, then you’re just bored.
4) Check your emotions
-If you’re feeling irritable,and/or having a hard time concentrating, you might need to eat
5) If your stomach is growling…
-Obviously you might need to eat
