You probably didn’t take a good 💩 lately

Hey you!
Yes you!
I see you’re really focused on that number on the scale dropping.
You start getting discouraged when you notice that number stall or rise.
You think you’re not doing enough.
You start doubting yourself. You start losing motivation.

Guess what?
We have all been there at one point or another in our lives.
I used to be the person who used the number on the scale as a measurement of success. If the number wasn’t moving in the direction I wanted it to, I would get really discouraged. That discouragement would set me back for weeks, even months because I would give up.

A typical “I stepped on a scale” conversation

Person 1: “Ohmygwad Becky! Guess what just happened??”

Person 2: “What?”

Person 1: “I just stepped on the scale today and it says I gained 5.7 pounds since yesterday! Ohmygawd I am so fat I should’ve ate less. I need to do 5 hours of cardio now.”

Person 2: “Unless you consumed 19,950 calories over your maintenance calories, that’s impossible to gain in a day.”

All scales should be run over by 18-wheeler’s.  
(That of course is my own opinion. If you like the scale props to you.)
The number on the scale is not an accurate measurement of success. It tends to steal happiness instead of creating it.
Did you know that if you did not take a good 💩 lately and stepped on the scale, that can cause the number on the scale to stall, or even increase?

Did you know that if you drunk or ate anything prior to stepping on the scale, that can cause the number to stall or increase? Did you know hormones and so many other factors play a role on that number?
It is NOT accurate! Stop using it as a measurement of success!
Stop letting a silly number on the scale take a toll on your determination, confidence, and happiness. You are so much better than that!
“Focus on the weights you lift, not the weight you lose.”

When you look in the mirror and see no change, and still keep faith, knowing that in time you will get there if you stay focused and on track, that’s the difference between those who fail and those who reach success.
